That's right I don't want to be any different than any other Grandmother in the world...Today all 3 of my gkids started school. OMG, i have reached that point I get to see them all in school and I am so blessed. Kharley 5th grade, Kentlee Kindergarten, and Kyle Pre-K and Head Start.
Kharley's day was much like the last few, nothing extremely exciting, just the pure pleasure of knowing Collin Funcheon was NOT in her class this year. She was so glad! She loves her homeroom teacher and Mrs. B seems to care for her a lot too.
Kentlee told his mom it was going to be a Rock and Roll day! Fell right into the routine like a pro.
So this is Kyle's first day to be seperated from Kentlee for all day. Janie was a little worried about it but Kyle made it just fine.
Janie had been explaining the ropes to Kentlee about Kyle and the bus ride, that he needed to make sure Kyle was on that bus everyday and not the let the driver leave if Kyle was not with him, Kentlee knew the plan and was preparing for the worst.
Well the worst almost happened the first day of school. Seems like the Head Start school did not get the message to PreK that Kyle would be coming over at lunch. So just because I am nosy and wanted to see the boyz in action I went over and PreK could not find Kyle. My heart sank. The lady in the office called Head Start and sure enough he was still over there. One of the aides brought him over and it was all cool after that. But I just got to thinking about Kentlee more than Kyle, what would he of done if he got on that bus and Kyle wasn't there? Not sure exactly how the conversation would have gone but it would of been worth hearing.
They may fight like brothers but Janie has always told them no matter you take up for each other. I can just see Kentlee getting in that bus drivers face over Kyle, had he not been on that bus. Makes me laugh thinking about the woulda shoulda coulda scenerio. Happy first day of School 2011 to my gkids!!
Well Kent has been on 12 hr days and today he got home early to hear the school stories and Jack was here waiting on him to fix fence, fix a tractor tire, and feed. I will make no comment about this at this time. Other than supper is cold.
Had a wonderful practice this weekend at Deb's house for the homecoming routine the Rainettes will be performing. It is going to be a blast. If you get a chance come to the game on Sept 23 and watch a bunch of old women having the time of there youth!! you need to join us too.
Lots of seniors experienced the first of the last today. My prayer is they all make it to graduation safe and sound. Keeping them and the families in my heart and prayers.
Love to all and to all a good nite. Nen xoxo
